В публикации представлено описание этнографических и современных традиций физической культуры приохотских (аркинских) эвенов. В научный оборот впервые введено описание традиционных игр, состязаний и современных видов спорта локальной этнической группы. Выявлены общие и специфические черты традиций занятия физической культурой аркинских эвенов по отношению к другим локальным группам эвенов, проживающих на российском Дальнем Востоке. Результаты исследования показали, что аркинские эвены обладают богатой палитрой традиционных средств физического воспитания, которые в большей степени проявлялись в прикладной деятельности – игровой и состязательной. Многое из этого наследия с многовековой историей используется и в наши дни.
The article represents for the first time a study of traditional game and competitive activity of one of the local groups of Evens - Arka’s Evens, resident in Okhotsk Region of the Khabarovsk Territory. The main source study base is the information from Even respondents [1985; 2024]. The aim of the article is to discover traditional and modern game and competitive activity of Arka’s Evens of Okhotsk Region. The study tasks are an introduction of traditional games, competitions and modern sports into scientific use by their description, to define the common and specific in respect of traditional games, competitions and modern sports which Evens use in these days. Methods of the study are field ethnography method, comparative-historical method and retrospective information method. The study results show that Arka’s Evens have a quite wide range of traditional means of physical education expressed by games and distinctive competitions. The general and specific in game and competitive activity of Arka’s Evens can be clearly seen in respect of other local groups of Evens of Okhotsk Region. The study materials broaden the knowledge about traditional cultural layer of Arka’s Evens and the whole Even ethnos, its ethnic game and competitive activity.
