Article is devoted to application of a nanocomposite of cubic Boron Nitride (further nanoСNB) in drill bits for a driving of prospecting wells on solid minerals. It is experimentally shown that copying of designs of known hard-alloy tools with the acting cutters can't be accepted as a way of improvement of drill bits. It is also shown that is more preferable as analog, a design impregnated diamond bits, where diamond grains are interspersed in volume of a matrix of a drill bit and are to some extent protected by it from shock loadings. Accordingly, it is proposed to install the cutters, so they do not go beyond the path of the shell drill bits. In this case, the cutters are uncovered, as diamonds impregnated ceramic crowns, as the butt drilling bits in accordance with the properties of rocks of face and drilling parameters. This idea is embodied in a new drill bits which cutters represent the replaced quadrangular plates from nanoСNB, fixed in the case of a drill bit by wedge clamp. The drill bit is intended for drilling of prospecting wells in breeds with strength of VII-IX categories on drilling capacity.
