The of adaptation of international students for studying in Russian universities is one of the most relevant problems. In the Northern extreme climate, foreign students have to adapt not only to the educational, cultural and social, but also complicated natural conditions that require increased mobilization of resources for adaptation. This article is a fragment of a longitudinal study on the cardiovascular system (Harvard step test, cardiorhythmography) of first-year NEFU studentscoming from countries with a hot climate and in the process of adaptation to the extreme conditions of Yakutia. We studied the functional response of the body to the test graduated exercise, indicators of heart rate (HR), standard deviation (SDNN), Mode (Mo), Mode Amplitude (AM), the stress index of Baevsky (SIB), High Frequency (HF), and Low Frequency (LF). At the time of the study, all participants had no signs of disease and were found to be practically healthy. It was revealed that the cardiovascular parameters in rest between the representatives of the main and control groups showed no statistically significant differences, except for a higher heart rate in the group of foreign students. When assessing the state of physical performance by IGST, most representatives of the both groups were on average or below the average state of physical working capacity. When assessing the parameters of heart rate variability in the main group, the activity of stress-limiting systems predominates, in the control group optimal parameters of adaptation are noted. It is established that the adaptive capabilities of the organism, estimated by the power of slow and fast waves, are characterized by low and moderate levels of mobilizing and recovery potential

The article is devoted to the role of multi-faceted studies conducted in Yakutia at different stages of the republic's development, in order to identify priority tasks in preserving health of the indigenous peoples of the north; to deploy a network of medical and preventive institutions to combat widespread and socially dangerous diseases; to establish the healthcare as a state structure of the top priority and to staff it with qualified medical professionals. It is shown that scientific data contribute to the successful interaction between science, education and practical healthcare, and a fundamental role in this process should be played by fundamental research as the basis for the development of applied research, the introduction of high technologies, and the improvement of the health system as a whole

The article deals with the experience of pre-university career counseling of schoolchildren at the Medical Institute of North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU). The quality of training doctors and pharmacists in many respects depends on the selection and pre-university education for future students. Career guidance training is important for future doctors and pharmacists. The medical profession requires not only good basic training, but also certain personal traits. In 1993 there was created the Small Medical Academy (SMA) - career guidance, training courses for secondary school students of Yakutsk City; in 1998 the geography of SMA for schoolchildren expanded by opening SMA branches in rural areas. The main purpose of the SMA: to become a professional orientation-training center for students of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), including those living in remote regions of the republic, to ensure the availability of additional education biomedical orientation and equal educational opportunities, seeking admission to medical schools. Among the main tasks set by the SMA, there are the following: to ensure continuity of education at pre-university and university stages of preparation of medical and pharmaceutical staff; to conduct better training of graduates of secondary schools for admission to higher education; raising the general cultural and professional competence of future students. All these activities are aimed at familiarizing students with the specifics of the medical profession, the nature of medical activities, the prospects of development of specialties. Thus, students are introduced to a variety of special medical and pharmaceutical profiles, learn about difficulties, different specializations, terms of training. As a result, SMA graduates make good applicants with the clear vision of their future specializationy

Modern higher medical education has the main goal of implementing the professional component of personal development. We are talking about the training of doctors that would be versatile and deeply educated, highly-humane, creatively-minded and quickly adaptable to new conditions experts. The principal difference of the new standards from the former one is to increase the share of practical training in the learning process of students. Unlike standards of the past, it will start during junior years and even get more intense during senior years of study. This will allow students immediately after graduation to be ready for independent professional activities in polyclinics as a district office physician, pediatrician or outpatient dentist. One of the directions in improving the medical education is the development of interdisciplinary relations - a new didactic concept of the holistic educational process of the university. The interdisciplinary integration is based on the idea of integrated modular training. One of the most common forms of interdisciplinary integration are the traditional integrated academic classes - lectures, seminars, practical sessions, and interdisciplinary teaching methods. In the modern interpretation, the interdisciplinary integration is the combination of knowledge and practical skills in all stages of specialist training. Interdisciplinary integration is a mutual influence, interpenetration and interrelation between the content of different disciplines with the aim of building an integrated, interrelated and coherent system of scientific competencies in students. The curriculum should use a modular system, with the aim of compiling a single block of disciplines, united by a common purpose and methods

The analysis of the incidence rate for the period 2007-2016 was carried out. (in the age aspect - since 1992) in the western economic zone of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), which included such districts as Verkhnevilyuysky, Vilyuysky, Lensky, Mirninsky, Nyurbinsky, Olekminsky, and Suntarsky. According to the medical and geographical zoning, these municipalities are mainly included in the Vilyuy group of districts. At the same time, the general and primary morbidity of both the general population and the age range was considered in adults and children (0-14 years) of the population. According to the official and departmental statistics, the analysis was carried out following the percentile method, first as a whole in the republic, then on the selected districts. Thus, the incidence rate for these districts is positioned in comparison with the indicators of all administrative-territorial entities of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). It turns out that of all the districts within the western economic zone, a favorable situation for general and primary morbidity, including depending on age groups, was found only in Verkhnevilyuysky District. However, for the sake of justice, it should be noted that there are no districts with critical values of these indicators. Moreover, a number of them have good positions for various types of morbidity, for example, Lensky, Olekminsky or Suntarskiy Districtc

The analysis of the incidence rate for the period 2007-2016 was carried out. (in the age aspect - since 1992) in the Southern Economic Zone of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), which included Aldan and NeryungriDistricts. According to the medical and geographical zoning, these municipalities are part of the southern group of districts. At the same time, the general and primary morbidity of both the general population and in the age range in adults and children (0-14 years) of the populationwas considered. According to official and departmental statistics, the analysis was carried out according to the percentile method, first as a whole in the republic, then on the selected districts. Thus, the incidence rate for these districtsis positioned in comparison with the indicators of all administrative-territorial entities of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). It turns out that in the Southern economic zone the situation with the general and primary morbidity is favorable for the whole population and the adult population as a whole. However, there is a tendency to worsen the situation of the children’s population, which should not disturb the pediatric service of Aldan and Neryungri Central District Hospitals
