This article reveals the concept of readingcompetence and literacy. Various approaches to thedefinition of reading literacy are analyzed. The authordescribes the structure of reading activity and givesexamples of conditions that contribute to the developmentof reading competence in English lessons. Important in theformation and development of reading literacy in Englishlessons is to increase the motivation to learn a foreignlanguage in general through the use of innovative moderntools, technologies and teaching methods.

The Basin of the Vilyui river is located on the territory of Western Yakutia, one of the most developed and industrialized parts of Yakutia, which is of great economic and strategic importance for Russia. The region is the center of the diamond mining industry of the Russian Federation, where primary and alluvial diamond deposits are developed, a cascade of hydroelectric power stations is located on the river Vilyui. This causes environmental and social problems, negatively affecting all components of the natural environment. It is necessary to study the stability of northern landscapes to technogenic impact and study the hydrobiological state of aquatic ecosystems, in particular, the state of the algoflora of watercourses. As a result of studying the degree of stability of landscapes in the basin of the river Vilyui to technogenic impact on permafrost and bioclimatic indicators, the degree of their resistance is determined. It was revealed that, according to the permafrost characteristics, the northern taiga open forest and haze landscapes are defined as predominantly weakly resistant, the middle taiga as medium resistant. The most unstable in terms of bioclimatic indicators were mountain-tundra landscapes, characterized by the coldest and most humid conditions. As a result of studies of the current hydrobiological state of the rivers in the basin of the river Vilyui determined the low development of phytoplankton and phytoperiphyton in the river Irelyakh, M. Botuobuya and in the upper reaches of the river Vilyui, consisting of a monotonous species composition of diatoms and green algae. The maximum average number of algae varies from 82290 cells/l to 20700 cells/l, the highest biomass was noted in one area and is 1.58 mg/l. The Shannon-Weaver biodiversity index varies by sampling points along the river. Vilyuy from 0.19 bits / copy. and 1.00 bits/copy. up to 2.40 bits/copy. According to the sanitary-biological characteristics, mass species-indicators of water saprobicity were identified, which indicates the III class of water purity, as moderately polluted. Thus, it was determined that the state of phytoplankton and phytoperiphyton is under the influence of the technogenic load of diamond mining and hydropower enterprises.The work was carried out according to the state assignment on the topic “Vegetation cover of the permafrost zone of the taiga Yakutia: biodiversity, habitat-forming functions, protection and rational use” (scientific topic code: FWRS-2021-0023; draft state task (No. FWRS-2021-0014) of the program in the priority area of the PFNI RF for the long-term period (2021-2030).

The article considers an ecological and geographical assessment of the stability of landscapes of specially protected natural areas on the example of the Kuoluma-Chappanda resource reserve of the Tattinsky ulus of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). For the first time in the reserve business, a methodology was proposed for assessing landscape criteria according to a point system - according to geographic accessibility in kilometers of protected areas, according to the duration of the frost-free period - the main factor in landscape productivity, according to the forest cover of protected areas - the main factor in the reproduction of wild animals, according to the area of protected areas in square kilometers. Further, according to the table, points of protected areas are set and, according to their results, they are classified into the following classes of sustainability of landscapes of protected areas: class 1 - ecologically highly stable landscapes of protected areas; Class 2 - ecologically sustainable landscapes of protected areas; 3rd class - ecologically medium-stable landscapes of protected areas; Class 4 - ecologically unstable landscapes of protected areas; Class 5 - ecologically prone landscapes of protected areas. The resource reserve is located in the Aldan-Amga interfluve. The climate is sharply continental with severe winters and warm summers. The taiga vegetation is represented mainly by lichen-lingonberry-ledum larch forest. The growing season is short. According to the results of the assessment of the sustainability of landscapes of protected areas, the Kuoluma-Chappanda resource reserve has the following data. The total score of the resource reserve is 14 points and belongs to the ecologically moderately stable landscapes of protected areas. According to the assessment, the reserve is of medium size and is located quite close to settlements, which can be used in the development of tourism. In terms of forest cover, the reserve belongs to continuous forest areas. In terms of the duration of the frost-free period, the territory of the reserve is less than average, as well as throughout the entire part of Central Yakutia. In terms of geographic accessibility, it belongs to medium accessibility.

Pedagogical conditions of physical education of students with disabilities are revealed (qualified with the special academic health groups). The objective of the study was to test by an experiment the special physical education process efficiency in application to the health-deficient students of Medical Institute and the Philological Department. The proposed health-improvement physical education model efficiency was tested on the special health group students of the Physical Education Department of North-Eastern Federal University. The experiment involved 73 students (21 boys, 52 girls) of the 1st-3rd year of the Institute of Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Philology. The study data and analyses demonstrated that the proposed health-improvement physical education model with general and special health practices is beneficial as verified by the improved students' health rates depending on the actual diagnose and helps step up their intellectual and physical working capacity. Practical educational experience of the model application shows that the efficient practices help normalize functions of different body systems, facilitate the learning progress and build up skills and abilities in the special health group students.
